Catching up is hard to do!!!

Yeah, the past 4 months have now been represented in lovely batch of collages. Thank goodness for collages or else I feel it would have taken me a good week to upload each picture. Some tips for this post: It is better to start at the bottom that way things flow more chronologically and click of the pictures if you would like to see all the pictures a wee bit better. It has been such a fun summer so far and I am so thankful we have had the opportunity to be able to participate in so many fun activities and outtings.

The most recent Sea World trip (August). Again with friends. The highlights this time...active walruses, going through shark encounter 2 times, active morey eels, and touching the rays. Even though the boys have done these things before they llooooove doing them over and over. They are learning so much from each of these experiences I am sure.

Every Monday and Wednesday for the past 2 or 3 months our rountine has included playing in the back yard for about 1 to 1 1/2 hours. We play in the pools, then head out to the side yard to play in the dirt. They dig, we make mud and the kids always seem to end up completely covered in....DIRT. Thank goodness for the hose!

Another Friday adventure. This time it was the Moreno Valley Air Musuem. It was fun and the air crafts were impressive but I think the next visit will have to be during a cooler time of year. It was hottsy tottsy outside!!!

Joy School Carnival complete with treats, games, prizes, and lots-o-fun.

Guess what...More San Diego! We had took a family trip with some extended family and without. The group to Sea World on Friday included grandma and grandpa Caress, Kym, and Lincoln. And Saturday was just our family exploring the wild San Diego Zoo.

Gwen's 1 trip to Sea World. This time the group included : Papa and Nana Haas, Alicia, Sterling, Gwen, and I. She was a trooper and we actually didn't even use a stroller in the Park.

One lovely day (late June) Sterling was still taking a nap and the babes were up and bopping around. They decided to get on the chair together and do a few poses. I love it, plaid and CHEEEESE!

Tank time with Papa Haas! Boy does my dad know just about everything when it comes to military info. It amazes me.

I just want to start by thanking my friend Jamey for her love of Sea World which had a huge ripple affect on a large number of my family members. A while back Jamey said she was going to by an annual pass to Sea World and that some other ladies in our ward would be purchasing them as well and that it would be great if Sterling and I got one too then we could go down together. Well to get annual passes for Matt, Sterling, and I was actually much cheaper than getting 1 annual Disney pass! So after saving up a little we took the plunge... then my parents, and some in-laws also followed suit. I think it is great. It is beautiful in San Diego... Anywho so we went for the first time at the beginning of June. We went with our friend Jamey and Grant and had a blast. Sterling and Grant(of course) loved the sharks. We saw the new show Blue Horizon with its EFY styled music that I love and we even got soaked in the Soak Zone for the Shamu show...cold and wet. Good times.

Here are a few shots from our Joy School field trip to The Living Desert. The boys had the opportunity to feed giraffes, see the elusive cheetah (which I have almost never seen there), tropical frogs, an animal hospital and more.

Here are just a few pictures that make me smile. How often do you have a hot air balloon land in the field by your house? Gwen loves her jewlery and shoes (so girly).

This was my first time going to any Disney park with my handsome well seasoned Disney man. We aquired some extra tickets a friend of the family would not be able to use and invited some friends to join the fun. We had a great time despite some "flat" moments on the way home. =)

On the way back from a D.I. run to drop off some donations we were driving through Cabazon and decided to check out the Dinosaurs. They have built an outdoor musuem which apparently has been there for the past 2 years. It cost $5 dollars per person to walk around and was worth the entry. What I liked best, which freaked Sterling out the most, was the fact you get to climb inside T. Rex and look out his mouth. It was a little overwhelming for Sterling, but he loved seeing everything else.

Easter time!!! Food, Family, Friends, and FINDING...easter eggs that is.

Here we start=)... Back in April the kids and I took at Trip to San Diego with my parents and Alicia, my lovely niece. My parents found out that the San Diego Natural History Muesum was having a dinosaur exhibit and they know Sterling looooooooves dinos so we made a trip down to check it out. The skeletons were great, sterling loved seeing all the prehistoric fossils. This was also the day we bought his Liopleurodon toy (which he loves still!). After the musuem we walked around the lovely Balboa Park and took at ride on the train.

Eggstravaganza Joy School style

I love these little preschoolers. Today they decorated bags, colored eggs, ate lunch, and searched for coded eggs. Each kiddo was suppose to find the eggs with there initial on them which went really well...Sterling just didn't want to wait to find them...But in the end he found his "S" eggs and had a great nap in the afternoon.
Highlight of the car ride over... Me: Sterling what letter does your name start with...
Him: S
Me: that's right. Who's name starts with G
Him: ga, ga, GRANT
Me: That's right...who's name starts with L
HIm: Logan
Me: Yep, who's name starts with J
Him: juh, juh Joshua.
Me: GOOD JOB! (YEAH FOR SCHOOL and great school mates and moms!)

Happy Spring!!

In clothes this cute, it was time to get some pictures. These were the kiddos easter attire which Sterling looked great in but kept saying "too TiGHT" to the lovely collar on the shirt. Spring has sprung and I love seeing my little blossoms bloom=) .

Suit shoot

Sterling was sleeping and going outside sounded good. Gwen made for a lovely model and had a great time walking, exploring, and getting her daily vitamin D. Thanks Missy again for the suit (2 years of fun).

Date with my mate=)

Matt and I were lucky enough to be able to get suite tickets to the PNB Paribas Tennis Tournament a few weeks ago. This was our first real date for some time and it was a delight. Good tennis (Nadal was great to watch), good food, great weather, and the best man to enjoy it all with.

before the game...

During the match... ole ole ole ole...ole...ole

GWEN TURNS 1!!!!

My baby girl turned 1 on the 4th. It has been quite a year. Lots of changes. She seems to have zoomed past all her milestones early on (I think it helps having a big brother she wants to keep up with). She is one cool cucumber. She is rugged yet feminine. She is outgoing, kind, a mover and a shaker, and cuddly like her daddy. Gwenyth is such a blessing to have in our family.

Sterling starts Joyschool

So this is really the best thing ever. An awesome mom in my ward asked if I would be interested in participating in a home based preschool where the moms take turns having school at their house one week at a time. After a bit of planning, we are all up and running and Sterling LOVES it. When I show up he goes "Go mom, you go and I stay here." He wants to stay at his friends houses forever. Matt and I have notice a change in him for the better for the past 2 weeks. He is maturing. We love our Sterling boy so much and I am so happy he is socializing and having a great time.

Date Festival 2010

We love us some date festival, that's right. Highlights: Sterling touched a gator!!!!!! (he is a bit into crocodiles and dinos so this was a big deal). We saw a pig escape in the live stock building. 3 cousins having a good time.

January Fun

They grow so fast...

One week in January, the kids, my mom, and I traveled up the lovely 74 and found some snow. Sterling loved throwing snow balls, Gwen didn't quite know what to think. Grandma made a great snow angel and I just took in the general splendor of it all.

Gwenniboo has 4 lovely teeth and she loves brushing.

January spotlight...

In Janaury, Sterling was spotlighted by our primary (http://www.laquintaprimary.blogspot.com/) It is hard to think Sterling is a little Sunbeam.

Updates from December...brrr.

Here are a few snap shots from the lovely Candy Cane Lane. This has been tradition for the past 3 years. This year we walked the streets with friends and family and got a up close and personal look at some lovely candy canes and lights. One of my favorite highlights was: Sterling making his plastic crocodile eat each large candy cane. Yum.

Here are tid bits from Christmas Eve and Christmas morning.
